I was elected Mayor in 2018 in the borough I grew up in, went to school in, and still proudly call home. I came into office believing I could change everything—fix every issue in one term and make an immediate impact. What I’ve learned since is that real change takes time. Government moves slowly, and progress only happens when a community comes together and commits to being part of that change.
Now, at the start of my third and final term, I’m focused on finishing what I started—turning the ideas and goals from day one into lasting results for our borough.
Like many of you, I wear a lot of hats. I’m a father of three daughters, a grandfather, a coach, a volunteer, a cheering, band, president of the Lions Club and drama parent, all while working a full-time job outside of being mayor. Life is a constant balancing act—and at 55, I’ve recently had to pivot again and begin searching for a new career path.
I created this site to share that journey—the successes, the challenges, and the reality of leading a small borough. My hope is to inform, connect, and inspire others to take pride in their communities and step up to make a difference.
Too often, the spotlight is on cities—but Pennsylvania is built on its boroughs. There are 954 boroughs across this state, each facing rising costs, economic challenges, and the fight to remain strong. While the 56 cities may be larger, the true heart of Pennsylvania lives in its small communities.
It’s time we recognize that. It’s time we make boroughs matter.
